The theme for the day: You are the answer to some one’s prayer.
The purpose of God in creating humans and the heart for community is amazing. After a day’s work I was yearning to go for a ‘boost’ walk in the park. I messaged a friend if she would like to join me in exactly when she was in her lowest of moods. What followed was a true boost for two tired souls, praise God!
We are the grand instruments in God’s hand of accomplishing His purposes of grace to the fallen humanity. God has put you where you are and called you to do the work to which your life is dedicated. Jesus’ life on earth was a constant fulfilment of the Father’s daily plan for Jesus. The Lord’s prayer teaches us (Mathew 6:10):
May Your Kingdom come soon
May Your Will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Prayer, as Jesus meant, is a constant and daily quest to know and let our King’s Will to be done in our lives exactly as He meant it to be. Just imagine when each of us holds this desire, what a happy/fulfilled place this world would be!
Can you believe you are the person God is preparing as an answer to someone’s prayers?
Prayers don’t always mean focused and long attention. But prayer does involve hearing and listening to our Father; it could happen in a moment, when God allows us to see another person as being just like us. The result is you being fulfilled as well as the person you reach out to.
Worship our God of Light and Compassion, let Him fill you with His love to overflow with compassion for the people God puts around you.
Find one person to show God’s light and hope today.
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well…
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them… Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection…
The church is the Body of Christ and each of us members are called to be unique, irreplaceable contributors due to the gifts of the Spirit given to us. Embrace the building up of His Body, driven by His love and you shall be a blessing to others.
Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.”
Take time to savour the first love you felt for Jesus, thank God for the faithful people who pointed you to Jesus and tagged you along their journey. Dance and celebrate your salvation not forgetting you are God’s channel of salvation to another person this week.
Let praise lead you to prayer to discern His will, be nourished in doing His will and a BIG heart for people in the church and community to know the will of our AMAZING FATHER GOD.
