Ephesians 5:15-18 (NLT)

15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine…Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.

We are a chosen generation to live in the times that we are in now. The fast-paced human race was forced to make changes to adapt to a virus crisis. Spending time took on new definitions. Adaptability Quotient (AQ) is the new standard of survival, as new opportunities emerged with the growth of online platforms.

God is calling us Christians to be wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16) and impact eternity for ourselves and others.  The key is to live in His light, and be filled with the Holy Spirit to detest the evil drunken spirit of the fallen world. Just to endure today and live for tomorrow, is being unwise. Being wise is to take every opportunity today and fully using the time granted us to fulfil God’s will for the season. Instead of killing time, redeem it. Instead of counting the days, make your days count. “ETERNITY will be appreciated only in the measure that we have rightly handled TIME!” (

Spurgeon says, “‘NOW’ is the watchword of the wise.” Time is a strange commodity – you can’t store it, you use it or lose it!

Take some time to journal your ways of spending time.

Awake my soul

Let the Holy Spirit awaken you to Christ’s perfect love, and resurrect to fresh life.

Prophetic Focus:

Matthew 6: 20, 21 (NLT)

Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

God gives us opportunities to store treasures in eternity.

God gives us discernment to live heavenly minded.

God deposits His treasures into the hearts of those who treasure Him.

Prayer Focus:

Revive us again

1 Peter 5: 8-10 (NLT)

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. … after you have suffered…, He will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.

Ask the Lord to let you humble yourself before Him, alert to the Devil’s tactics and spark faith in His deliverance. Rebuke the spirit of lethargy and unbelief and let the Holy Spirit fill you.

Pray for:

  1. Fresh faith and breakthroughs into the needy situations in your family, community group, and church family (TVC Church Prayer FB group).
  2. Wisdom and intention to redeem the season for Christ and impact our generation.
  3. A fresh Holy Spirit anointing over TVC Church / Teesside churches to be a Light house to the region.
