Join us tonight from 7-7.30pm (Friday 2nd April) and come prepared with your bread and wine (or alternative).
If we have your details in our TVC Church address book then you should have already received the Zoom details, if you haven’t – It’s not too late! Click here to sign up for a Zoom code.
*Please note, we sent out an update yesterday with a passcode for the Zoom – please look out for that one!
Whether you will be in the congregation at The Oakwood Centre or in the congregation at home, we have an exciting plan for our Easter Sunday Service!
Our media team have been working hard to gather lots of exciting and mega cute content and we are blessed to have our new elder, Terry Young bringing God’s word to us.
Online and in person – 11am on Sunday 4th April – Let’s celebrate together!
The Easter Trail
Our Easter trail has been a huge hit this week, not only with our own church families, but with the wider community too – in fact, we’ve found, most of the families on the trail are not part of a Church community at all!
One lady messaged over Facebook this week to say that not only had they enjoyed the trail as a family, but that she had been trying to teach her children about the true meaning of Easter and she had been thrilled at how the story was reinforced in a relevant way!
In under a week, we have handed out over 120 bags which each contain an Easter craft, child friendly copy of the Easter story and of course a chocolate treat.
The trail continues until Tuesday so if you haven’t tried it yet…go take a stroll!
Pray for those who will be venturing out on the trail this weekend, that this will be more than just an Easter activity, but it would be an encounter with the living God.
Calling all creative people!
Our next online creative crew is this Monday at 7.30pm!
Anybody is welcome to come along. Bring your creative projects for our creative ‘show and tell’ and enjoy gathering and swapping creative ideas!
Taking Ground Celebration Weekend
Next weekend is our Taking Ground Celebration weekend.
Three times a year we get together with our Taking Ground family of Churches and celebrate what God is doing in us and through us as a family of Churches. Find out more about ‘Taking Ground’ here.
On Sunday 11th April, we will worship together, online or in person. Martin Dunkley will be bringing us special message entitled ‘The Meanwhile of God’. This is going to be a great time of encouragement and building faith across our family of Churches.
Tickets are now available to be part of the congregation at The Oakwood Centre. Please choose a ticket entitled “The Oakwood Centre is my usual place of worship” as we have left space for others from the Taking Ground family to join us, if they are able.
If you were one of the few who were able to nab a ticket for this weekend, please hold back in booking another until Thursday next week, so that others have a chance to attend too.
With restrictions slowly being lifted, our TVC Church Youth are chomping at the bit to get back to pursuing Jesus together – in a socially distanced way of course!
This weekend they have some outdoor get togethers planned and then, once they are able, they will begin meeting in-person for their weekly discipleship groups.
If you have secondary school aged children who are not yet connecting in with the TVC Church Youth events – please do get in touch with Joe and Christa to chat through how we can help your teenagers to get involved.
